YouTube launches its new portal dedicated to artists, “YouTube for Artists”, offering artists analytics and expert advice on how to promote themselves on the platform and how to make more money.
The new YouTube portal is still in an early phase, as we can still see tabs marked “Coming Soon”, but it seems to follow the line of Spotify for Artists or Deezer for Artists, where artists will have tips and metrics about their work at their disposal.
One of the most interesting tools is “Music Insights”, where YouTube promises to help artists with more and better analytics.
Another tool is “Master the basics”, which will help you understand how YouTube’s algorithms work and improve your videos’ ranking, while “Engage your fans” will offer tips on how to get better interaction with your fans.
With this, YouTube is creating a platform intended to be the support portal for artists ahead of the upcoming launch of its music streaming service.
