How the calculator works
Spotify doesn’t pay a fixed rate per play: it shares out each country’s revenue according to share of listening. The calculator multiplies your streams by an indicative average value for the country you choose, separates the master share (the recording) from the publishing share (the songwriting rights) and lets you subtract what your distributor, manager, label or producer takes to see your real net.
